Good Luck Beloved Tigers

We had a great season. Rough ending with Miggy hurt and other players slumping. So sad and a true let down. But while we still have a breath..I want to wish them good luck tonight. Go Tigers!!!!! :fam 21:

Wouldn't it be great if the Tigers and the Cardinals played each other in the World Series again. Of course it goes without saying the outcome would be the same as the 2006 World Series. Mwhaa haa haa!!

Go Tigers...for now!

Well since the Reds are out, and since the Indians are out, and the Braves are out, and so are the Pirates. I guess I'm pulling for the Tigers.

But....it might be the same outcome as the 1967 World Series.
I was a Detroit fan way back in the 60's when I played little league ball. My fav was Al Kaline. We was a slugger and great outfielder. Mickey Lolich and Denny Mclain, fantastic pitchers. Mclain had a crazy sidearm pitch.

Actually it was the disastrous 1968 World Series when the Tigers (down 3 games to 1) came back and won the next three games of the series. Man, that was absolutely painful for Cardinal Nation.

Ahh, right. It was the 1968 series. I won a whole dollar from a big mouthed Card fan. He wasn't saying much when Detroit swept the last three games! The grade school teacher rolled in a big ol' tv on one of those platforms to let us watch. Cool guy!

I remember that. My friends and i had a wagon and bicycle parade. For tonight so far so good. Even miggy homered. That brought tears to my eyes.

Dang you folks are making me feel old with your remarks about grade school and a wagon and bicycle parade. In 1968 I finished my fourth year of active duty and only had two years of reserves to deal with.

The first game of the 1968 World Series was memorable. Bob Gibson struck out 17 batters in that game. I believe that record still stands today (I think). I still can't believe we lost that series.

As I type this Detroit is winning 3 to zip and Verlander is pitching a heck of game.

Cards fans gotta love only needing one more. Good job you guys. After flubbing a 5 run lead in the second game and losing 1-0 in the third game, we are happy the team woke up last night to tie the series. Now the pitching duels start over. it's nerve wracking, but we seem to have an edge on pitching. Wish us luck.

After the Card's loss last night I'm having Deja vu. Please Cardinals don't lose to LA the way you lost to the Giants last year. My heart can't take that abuse.

I know oakman. Came back from 3-1. Take a deep breath. We're pulling for you. Hope both our teams make it. I have a lot of good razzing up my sleeve.

I'm trying to increase the mojo for the Cardinals game tonight so I'm posting the last photo I took of Stan (The Man) Musial. Go Cards.

a coworker of mine puled the cellophane off the bottom of his pack of smokes, turned it upside down and asked our resident cub fan if he knew what it was. when informed it was a display case for all the cubs world series trophies, he didnt find it as amusing as all the non cub fans. his middle finger was in excellent health and dexterity.

GO CARDS!!!!!!
