Good morning FRF, finalizing our plans for a camping vacation in Myrtle Beach. Two weeks at Pirate Land. We made our first trip there two years ago and loved it. This will be the second 4th of July at Pirate Land. We were amazed how many golf could be in one place, this was something new to use. The big thing now is the fuel cost, based on $5.00 a gallon for reg gas and 12 miles to the gallon it would cost approx $217.00 one way and of course gas will be higher after two weeks for the trip back. Have a good one....

Have a great trip Rockwoodo6. We love MB too but will wait until after the summer season to go, if we can still afford it. Hopefully it won't be at $5 by then. Still in the high 3's here in central VA and has been a few cents cheaper in SC.
MB has been a big golf destination for years. At one time they had over 100 courses, but skyrocketing land prices caused a number of older courses to close and land sold to developers. They still have around 90 but a few more may close in the near future.

Good morning FRF, Thanks Hokiehall We will be leaving in about two weeks. I needed extra time to get things ready for the trip such as a tire change out on the camper, Carlisle-ST205/75R15's are out Goodyear Marathons-ST225/75R15's are in and I am having the Suburban checked over completely. My wife is making curtains for the windows and I am installing them with spring rods to help reduce the heat load for the A/C system. The new Carrier A/C system I had installed a few months ago works great. We were camping last weekend with temp in the mid 90's with a heat index of 100-105 and it did a fine job keeping up, the Demetic would have failed as it has in the past with high temps. Just to give you and idea, two years ago it was our first trip to MB with the Rockwood ( brand new ) with the Demetic A/C system that came with the camper, the temp where in the high 80's to upper 90's the A/C system was not cooling very well, I checked the supply temp from the unit and it was 64 degrees at this temp I knew the unit was too small for the camper, A 13,500 BTU unit. Now with the Carrier unit at 15,000 BTU the supply air last weekend in the mid 90's, the supply air temp was 45 degrees. The difference between the two units is that the 15,000 BTU unit has a bigger evaporator coil as well as a bigger condensing coil to remove more heat and that's what the 8314ss needs. The more windows you have and the more slide outs you have the bigger the heat gain.

GOOD MORNING FRF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's Friday the 13th!!!
started the day off in typical Friday the 13th fashion. I pulled my scoot into my parking space and forgot to put my feet down. DOH! I was doing a gravity check. Yeah that's it. Anyway..... no damage 'cause of my engine and bag guards and I got in some more pratice picking it up
Have a great trip to MB rockwood06! Man I haven't been there since my Army days back in 88 and 89. I'm bettin it's changed a bit.
Our next big trip is to Orlando in late July through 13August and I'm betting on $5+ gogo juice at 11.5-12.5mpg. It's going to be a heck of a fuel bill.

I bet it has changed in the last two years when we were there that's one of the reasons for the GPS system, it's noting like setting on the side of the road looking at a map or using Map Quest. By the way thanks.

Good Morning FRF and Happy Father's day to all you Dads!
Picked our 8315SS up yesterday and the ride home was quite enjoyable...I had mentally prepared for the worst, never having pulled anything that big before, but I could barely feel the TT behind me.

Good Morning Everyone!
Just got back Friday afternoon from Barton Lake in Indiana. Our first
trip out of the state of Michigan with our TT. Weather was a little wet
the first couple of day's but what we did not know is we timed it right
because Southeast Mi got hit by some very violent storms just after we left.
I came home to my patio furniture being flipped upside down, including a full size glass table.
I did take a few pic's down there, if I develop the roll I will post some of
them here.
Gas $5.00 a gallon? Dam!

Good morning FRF, back in March I had a sad day for those who can recall. One of our retired Greyhounds developed bone cancer and he had to be put down, his name was Stretch , Well last night we had to take our last Greyhound to the Vets, is name is JO-JO. His breathing was very heavy and not eating well and along with that, his right front paw was swollen. Two weeks ago JO-JO was at the Vets for the same problem, but symptoms were not as bad. The Vet took x rays of his chest and found a lot of white areas in his lungs, at that time he was being treated for pneumonia. After His last antibiotic he went back to the Vets last night after a second set of x rays nothing had changed in hes chest, with additional testing it was determined that he has lung cancer. JO-JO is not in any pain at the present time and he his back home, The Vet gives him 6 weeks. Unfortunately we have a decision to make soon.

Well good morning FRF, hope everyone has been well. I have been on vacation the last two weeks and I see I have a lot of reading to do. I scan some of the threads yesterday before posting last night. The one thread that effected me was the accident on I-77. I am sorry to bring back bad news, but this sent chills threw my body, my heart go's out to the family. May everyone be safe, have a good one.

Good morning FRF, I hate to say this but there is another new teenager on the road, my Son at the age of 17 is now driving as of this past Saturday. He is 3 months from 18. I tried to stretch it out as long as I could, but I am now at the end. I am hoping he does as well as my Daughter, she turned 20 just last week and has been driving over 3 years and is doing well so far. ........ Have a good one!
