Then he took the truck to the shop of our choice where it was repaired. Let's see AAA do that.

One tow and it pays for itself a couple of years...regardless of whose you buy. And for those who have no roadside assistance, you do not want to be hanging your butt out along the Interstate Highway somewhere to fix a flat and risk you life! Especially at night.. Get at least a basic plan...

I have Good Sam and I am very happy with it. Used them four times now with only one being for the motor home, twice out on my motorcycle and once for my sons car on the way to our campground over Memorial Day weekend. Never a question about the vehicle that needs a tow, which I like compared to what I have heard from those that have AAA.

I had the need to use GS Roadside Assistance last Friday night about 200 miles from home. They were responsive and effective. They contacted a repairman on a Friday night at 9 pm.. 45 minutes later the repairman arrived at my RV and got me back on the road. I was impressed and happy with the GS service.

We were coming back from Alaska this past July and had a spring break which led to a tire blowing out on the Alaska Highway 125 miles from the nearest repair facility. Good Sam arranged for our 5th wheel to be towed the 125 miles. The towing bill was $1,300.00. That will pay for several years of Good Same protection. They made the arrangements and picked up the tab. (I think AAA would be equally good)

One of the biggest things to research is the service area of each where you plan on using your RV. I live in Los Angeles and in this area Good Sam sucks, due to the fact they have very limited resources in this area. Whereas AAA is all over the place.

When we went to lake Powell, UT and had a breakdown good Sam was better due to the fact they had services in the remote location I was in, whereas AAA had really nothing to offer.

So do your homework before deciding!!
