Goodby dear old trailer!

Our old Jayco 28FKS was towed away by the insurance company's salvage people today. It was caught in a major hailstorm that would have cost $15,000 to replace 3/4 of the aluminum siding. It was less expensive to total it.

We had it for exactly 8 years, having bought it up this date in 2006.

Many great trips and fun times where had in it!

Your Jayco may be gone, but not the memories of all the good times. Hope you'll make many more in your new Rockwood.

The good news is the salvage guys said they'd sell it instead of breaking it apart for parts. Makes me feel good to know that just because we won't be using her any more, someone else will get to enjoy her, dented aluminum and all.

I left the biggest mods...I had just installed two vent fans just two months earlier, and had disassembled the back wall to fix it from bowing out. (Pics and comments here of the work).
