GoodSam or KOA Roadside Assistance

I received a flyer the other day from KOA advising they have teamed up with Allstate motor club, I have a KOA discount membership, which I use when traveling . I also have goodsam membership and the goodsam roadside assistance now. The KOA roadside is about 1/2 the cost of goodsam, which is affinity motor club I believe . Whenever I've had to use goodsam roadside I have no issues with them . Has anybody made the switch? Are there some out there that already use the KOA roadside? And if so any issues?
Thanks
Mike

From what I understand GS uses the Allstate dispatch service as well.

I've been paying $129 for service last few years
$80 sounds like promotional ?
KOA was $69, that could be promotional too.

Sounds like a promotion. I just paid $79.95 for the GS ERS and they tacked on an extra 3 months.

AAA has a RV level one plus the bonus of including your vehicles. The 100 mile tows are appealing to me rather than just to the nearest service area.

Just a thought: Who insures your RV. I have roadside coverage with GEICO that is cheaper than both of these. However, I've never had to use it so not sure on how good it is.

BillyBass... I have the AAA RV Plus coverage, but haven't had to use it yet. What was the problem you had with AAA? Was it that there wasn't a towing service who could tow your trailer, or that there was no service at all, or something else?

I paid $162 for AAA Plus RV. This includes and extra $34 for my husband. We have only used it once for the RV and that was to change a tire that had blown out. As said in previous posts this also covers our passenger car and our pickup as well as the RV. I also like the added feature of free paper maps and trip guides. I have been tempted to get the Good Sam Emergency Road Service, but have not done so.

I have GS Roadside Assistance. I've had good and bad with it. Stuck on I-75 just outside of Atlanta for 6 hours trying to get assistance. Finally went and got the tire and rim for my car dolly myself. The lady couldn't help even when I gave her the mile marker. The other time I got assistance very quickly.

I have Geico insurance that includes roadside assistance for $10 per 6 months. My motorhome broke down on the freeway and I called Geico. They quickly sent a large wrecker and had me towed to a repair shop 60 miles away. Never saw a bill and my insurance rates didn't go up.

Truck broke down on interstate with 5th wheel. GS sent two vehicles, towed truck to dealer, towed 5th to RV Park. Great service, no issues. Also used GS 4 other times for flats and lock out over the 6 years that we have GS Roadside service. Never a problem and always quick service.

AAA Premier, required for RV, will not cover boat trailers. GoodSam Roadside Assistance will.

I know.

My only problem with any of them is that they won't let you give location in GPS coordinates. I was on unknown stretch of 2 lane in some remote area of Louisiana, and boat trailer tire blew. When I FINALLY gave GS some kind of mile marker etc, they came........in 2 hours. But then, I was 1 hour from Shreveport, and further from any other major town with a tire truck. But they came. AAA won't.
