I remember and try to use the same thoughts we all had after the World Trade towers went down. We saw no colors... just the enemy.

I heard a comedian say something like "we actually have started hating people in other countries/overseas now. Let's get over racism now!"

Pretty accurate

I've cut through campsites to get to a favorite part of a trout stream without taking a long detour. Big difference is I have always asked permission of the people in the site. Common courtesy, one thing I always liked about camping most every one used it, now seems like its going the way of our society.

We've had that happen a few times. Best defense to unacceptable Campground etiquette of not walking thru someone else's site? Our big black dog.... that rushes up to whoever enters. First time, scares the cr*p out of the offender. They don't know he wouldn't hurt a fly, but he sure LOOKS intimidating. Don't have much of a problem after the 1st attempt.

Thank you for this. I do prefer saying Ford is better than Chevy.

Had something similar happen to us at Ocean Lakes a few weeks ago. Some campers moved their rig over one spot and were now next to us. They proceeded to erect a big tarp/cover and then move their picnic table and all sorts or cooking and kitchen apparatus into it. Tied one of the pole to the cover on our power pole and now their gathering place was literally within one foot of our bedroom slide and dining slide. Once they started drinking, they even bothered the folks in the trailer on the other side of the road from us. We had to go to the park security, who then told them to move but we waited 2 days for that thinking they would realize how rude they were but never did. We and they were all older and retired age so lack of manners is not limited to the younger generations. Granted, Ocean Lakes is not a luxury large site place but that is all the more reason to be considerate. So much for my retirement farewell trip (my 3rd retirement but this one is for real). We did enjoy the rest of the trip, great campground in Savannah (Redgate Farms) and New Smyrna Beach.

Yes, this thread is going out on a lot of subjects that really have no place here on the friendly forums......as they have historically shown to be very divisive..

We are going to need to close this one down before it does itself what it is venting about.....and divides our camping community here.
