And these people vote. Which explains our current political situation.

Edit: And when I say "these people", I mean idiots, not any particular race.

Camping at a state park and sharing the campgrounds can bring about interesting stories.

But the drive home sharing the road with an even more variety of people can produce some hair rising stories.

Take it all in stride the best you can.

I hope aliens/extraterrestrial come attack earth soon
I'm thinking that's about when all this racism and disrespect towards each other will end and we all become one.

Oh yea, Please do!!!
Actually they are a good "icebreaker" and if the neighbor is interested I always like to introduce them. Especially to the 2 legged kids. I think it makes everyone feel at ease. When neighbors first show up they will watch intently (I discourage any barking) and then after a few minutes they return to their daily camping routine....

Just thoughts- not that you did anything wrong, but just things I think I would have done differently. It's easy to write this from the comfort of my keyboard now and well after the fact.

1) I likely would have asked sooner than later.

2) I would not have "yelled back and forth". I would have said my piece and then ignored anything they said after that. I would however, have involved the hosts at that point.

3) Sure does suck the life out of fun. Camping is supposed to be relaxing and fun and gidgets like you describe really do ruin it. It sticks with you.

There was a trail they could use to get to the water, but it was easier for them to march through like they owned the place.

This went on all day - I finally asked them to stop. Long story short, they called me an F***n racist b****d and accused my wife of "cussing" out one of them..she is a Stephen Minister and teaches preschool at a church; and never said a word to them.

1) Did you have your confederate battle flag flying? ...you could be a racist
2) Lake front property.... you could be a racist...
3) If you go to church and your wife is a minister... then you know that we are ALL carnal in nature and CAN NOT helps ourselves for being as the creator made us..... you could be a racist.
4) you said that you are married.... you could be a racist.
5) Camping with other families of like minded people... you could be a racist.
6) You are of a race.... you could be racist.

yep.... you could be, but I don't think so, but it is they who trespasses on your paid site who is way out of order and should be told to use the pathway for what they are made for.

Using the race card as a crutch when it is not truly warranted is beyond the pale. If you do not stand up for your rights, then never ask someone else to. As no one should stand up for you. Block the path through your site and talk to the campground host.

This is what I call the death of decency. Decency, common courtesy, cooperation, consideration for others are almost done. They breathe slowly, but not deeply, these days and will be dead completely with "Boomer" generation. You can see the symptoms on the hiway, in the grocery store, and anywhere else for that matter. It doesn't bother me much any more... for me, that is. I'm nearing the end of this life. But I have 3 kids that are now parents, themselves. I have 6 grand kids that have to live in this world... of... tolerance. That's a laugh all in itself. It's said that things come full circle, so we may come back to being decent and cordial, considerate and courteous... I sure hope so, for my grand children's sake.

As was said, take the high road... and enjoy the weekend. They should have been charged with assault. Might not have stuck, but might have taught them a lesson.

A reflection of their parents? Bad water runs downhill. Apples or nuts do not fall far from the tree.

Not sure that the opinions of others have value

In my opinion, this isn't an appropriate question or issue to invite people to weigh in on. We all have to deal with our neighbours when we camp, the good, the bad and the annoying. If I wasn't there, my opinion is of little value and venting on a public forum is seldom productive or positive. I love the forum for access to information, solutions and ideas. Opinions and personal experiences, not so much. I deal with my problems in private.

Regardless of race, it's amazing how angry people are so much alike -- seeing folks who are different as threatening and using it to express rage far out of proportion to the situation. Interesting thing is, it's rarely personal -- give people a chance to get to know each other and often the anger gives way to (at least) tolerance. I like the proverb in my signature, but it's hard to do sometimes.

Sorry they put a damper on your weekend. I agree with others: Camp On!
Yep.....respect your neighbours. I would never dream of cutting through someone's campsite.
