GPS Systems...
Hope this winds up in the correct place. Have a couple questions I could use some assistance on. I have a Ford f-250 Super Duty that I tow a Forest River Flagstaff 832IKBS with. I am needing / wanting an after market GPS system to go in my tow vehicle when we travel. It doesn't have to be specifically for RV's...(a little out of my fixed income price)...but I do want it to be reliable and easy to use / see. Now, that being said, I don't have a "smart" phone to link it to so I probably wouldn't be worrying about live weather reports or road conditions, per se., just to and from directions. I just want to hook it up...put in my destination and point to point stops along the way, and then hit the road. I know the RV ones show overpass heights, weight restrictions, and such, but I don't know if I really need all the info since I usually know the way we are going. Again, I don't have a smart phone, so I don't know if I could use one of the RV types anyway. I would want it to be able to update itself with maps and such so that I could also enjoy using it when we are out on a day trip and only in the tow vehicle. Does anyone have any suggestions / advice on a good, reliable, GPS system that is not specifically for RV routes? Thanks for all the help. Safe Camping.
