Just leave the cap on and open the 2 valves. Works like a charm, I do it all the time.

Your tanks must be hooked together between the valves and the cap.

I don't think his tanks are hooked together, so he can't open two valves with cap on.

You can buy a cap that has a water hose fitting and hook a water hose up to the fitting and drip the water out from the shower. You would be surprised how much water would drip out overnight.

But now all your grey water is right behind the cap. Wouldn't you need to put another shut off valve in place at the end, mine has three valves one for each tank, but not a valve at the end. One of my grey tanks leaks a little and that builds up behind my cap (couple ounces). A

I have 2 drains and 3 valves. So the interconnect should work.

Sounds like someone needs intoduced to "sailor showers". Turn water on twirl around once ... turn water off. Soap up ... turn water back on and twirl around 2-3 times and call it clean. Ha! A balance hose does work as the water will level itself in both tanks ... the idea of just opening both grey tank valves if they are connected is full of suprises unless you have a twist on blade valve before the cap.
