Grey Water Valve Blocked

After dumping one of my grey water tanks, the valve only closed halfway. It is a solid stop not some, like something is blocking the valve, but is is grey water, nothing should be in there. Anyone have this problem or know what is happening?

Hmm. It's not unheard of for the plastic disc, from the original tank home being drilled, to be dropped into the tank. Could be your stopage. :0

A guess, construction debris or the plug from the tank when they cut the holes.

New trailer?

We had the same problem in the first year upon the second or third grey dump. With a little help from the good people on this site I carefully disassembled the valve from the PVC pipe and was able to clear the debris from the factory.

Thanks for the responses. Guess I will have to get under the cover and take a look. As for construction debris, I still get a RV full of saw dust every time I fire up me heater. Guess I will have to address that soon or maybe they can take a look at it at the rally.

Can you feed something up the drain and see if there is a blockage. I had an issue with my black tank valve not shutting. It's a little scary pulling the hose off your drain with the black valve open but I just cranked up a hose and ran it up the drain and it freed up what ever was blocking the valve.
