The low pressure line is made for grills like the Sidekick, Olympian, and such.

You can actually do mods to either your Coleman or tie into your RV tanks BEFORE they go thru a regulator (thus lowering the pressure)....and use your Coleman. If your Coleman has the regulator built into the flame control, this can be a problematic endeavor. If the regulator is separate, then you can modify it, by basically removing the grills regulator.

The problem (and there are many, many, threads on these forums about this), is you are trying to use Your Coleman grill (which has it's own hi pressure to low pressure regulator built in) on a line that has already been regulated down from hi pressure to low pressure.

You are then actually trying to run the grill off of propane that has been regulated down twice....which is too low to successfully run the grill on.

The low pressure grills don't have a built in regulator, thus they are made to operate off of the RV's already regulated low pressure propane lines.

Hope this helps.

This is what I did to mine and it works perfectly. Actually got this from another thread on here.

Your Coleman grill should be low pressure. I'm not sure of a grill manufacturer that makes a high pressure grill. When my Olympian burned out after two years (and I opted for the stainless steel one figuring it would last) I bought a Coleman freestanding tailgate grill and its worked fine ever since.
