Gulf of Mexico question

We have never taken our truck and camper near the salt water for fear of damage. We are getting old and would like to go there this winter. The campground we are wanting stay at is approx. 1/4 mile from the bay. Will we get any salt damage if we do not get any closer than this and stay on the pavement? Thanks for any advice, Tom-s.

So imagine driving your truck on roads where tons of salt are dumped on them and you're not able to wash your truck for months because it would freeze solid as a brick. That is what us northerners put up with EVERY winter. And they still sell trucks in this climate. Think about it.....if salt was THAT damaging to RV's do you think Florida would get the númber of snowbirds they now get? And do you think there would be any RV dealers in Florida? Your camper will be fine. Just wash it when you get home if it bothers you that such.

We go to Top Sail State Park Desin, FL 5 or 6 times a year. 1/4 mile from the Gulf and have not see any affects. I wash the camper when we get home, but I do that if we go to Noth Carolina. GO and enjoy your visit. I would also recommend Top Sail SP. Take your bikes.
