The phone and power company's put cones around there trucks even if they are just taking a brake for lunch. I thought about putting 'check before flight" tags at critical points. I already have one for the antenna that hangs of the sun visor in the truck.

Thumbs up

Started out once and both DH and I noticed that something did not sound right. Stopped at once and discovered that tongue wheel was still down. Now, DH makes a 'walk-around', then I make a 2nd 'walk-around'. A second pair of eyes seems to ensure everything is covered!

I hang an orange fly swatter on the antenna crank when the antenna is up. Can't miss it!

Thanks Mike. I have found several and even the same one I destroyed. I have a narrowed down list. Now my mission is to decide if I spend the money on a higher end model or get the Chinese variety for half the cost. I am leaning toward Chinese since DW and I are pretty sure we will upgrade within two years.

Be sure to get a 5 gallon bucket to cover the head then, it will keep water out which will short out the motor.

If you invest in a better one buy a hand crank model (they are cheap) then when you up grade your TT swap then out

Left a park in the middle of a forest with high winds and tornado that touched down an hour after we left. The antenna fell victim. It is just 2 inches shorter now! Things happen and even a thorough checklist can be forgotten in the heat of the moment.

Great idea! We have only had our TT for a few months, but I have noticed that sometimes I forget to look up at the handle of the door and other times I forget to look down. Fortunately, there was need to look again, so I did not miss something important that could be ruined by my lack of attention. My DH and I both tend to walk around, and sometimes we each do it twice.

I started out doing the 2 walk around trick, and that worked fine until I left the electric cord unplugged coming out of Branson, MO. SO.....now a do a 3 walk around.....looking high, looking low, and looking middle.
