I gave the mother of my children a vacuum for this special day.
And believe it or not I didn't get hit in the head with a skillet.

Man, I hoped I'd be abe to raise a rucus with the vacuum comment.

Really, she did get a vacuum and it REALLY sucks. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! yep I like the nansplit smilie..

One time, a long time ago before we were married (13 or 14 years ago) I got her a blender for her birthday. The ULITMATE margarita machine. I have an aunt who at the time thought I was nuts. My girlfriend (at the time, now my wife) loved it. That blender is still kicking out the margaritas after all these years.

We tend to be practical with our "gift" giving on these "non-holidays". Anniversaries tend to be the more traditional "I REALLY love you" gifts. Everything else is a wildcard. (and yes she's standing over my shoulder as I type).

Every day is a special day with her and words or gifts alone cannot convey what I feel for her. It's a feeling, a connection. We've been together for over 17 years (married 12). She stayed with me through a year long deployment apart. I have found what others only dream of. Someone who loves me as much as I love her. I cannot imagin life without her. She is a blessing from God that I cherish EVERY day. The greatest gift that we give each other is each other and our children. Everything else is iceing on the cake. (and no she wasn't standing over my shoulder as I typed this).

Let's find a ballpark halfway point somewhere. I know you're in Mississippi but no idea where.

I'm sure we can come up with a 3 or 4 day weekend this summer.

hmmm Maybe Hot Springs AR in our futures? We go every year and enjoy it there.

Looks like 75 miles closer my side of half way to Justin.

Mike
I've been to Hot Springs once for a good friends wedding and didn't get to see enough of it at the time as both our kiddos were very young at the time. Driving an extra 75 miles is no major to me. Let's start working something out, campgrounds, dates, activities, remember we've got two little ladies 7 and 8.

Looks like we hijacked the thread.
