Happy with new Rockwood

We took delivery on a new Rockwood 8285IKWS on Thursday. This is our first fifth wheel, but our fourth RV, having had travel trailers in the past. We spent all day Friday packing our stuff back in it and that gave us a chance to go over everything with a fine toothed comb.

My wife and I were impressed with the construction and quality control of the Rockwood. Our last travel trailer was not so impressive at first as we found electrical outlets installed crooked, loose connectors in the plumbing area, screws left off of places, slide seals not sealing, and other things that I have since forgotten about, but I remember that it took a while to fix all the factory omissions.

Not so with the Rockwood. We have yet to find anything that is loose, not attached, or forgotten. They have done a superb job of putting this unit together. We are giving Forest River an "A".

As I have always posted I think the Flagstaff/Rockwood line of FR is one of the best. I had mine 2 years now with very minor problems. You picked a good line as you know, No matter what or how much you pay there is always things that can happen after all these things are pulled on our less then great highway system. Surprised they hold together as well as they do. Congrats on your new unit, once you own a 5er you will never go back to a TT. I do not mean to say that anything is wrong with TT but I just find it so much easier to pull and hook-up.
