Harvest Festivals-At camp grounds

We just worked our second harvest festival at a Michigan a State Park. Just wondering who else out there attends or works these events while camping and what things do the parks do, example: trick or treating, face painting, egg tosses, sack races, etc?

We stayed at Fort Custer and had a good time even though it was rainy and cold.
They had a costume contest and a costume parade and then trick or teating for the kids. All the campsites are decorated and they had a dj one night a hot dog get together. Hot Coffee and donuts in the morning. There were more activities also for the kids.

Where did you go?

Most of our GA State Parks in October have a all festival...we'll always go camping for one every year with our young kids...nice laid back atmosphere.

Normal activities at these SP events will be trick n treating stations, face painting, cake walks, haunted house, hayrides, concession by the local Friends Group, etc..

We did one of these this past weekend at a lake park near us...along with wmtire. One of his friends went all out! dozens (literally) of rope lights lining the road through our cluster of RVs, PA system to tease the young 'uns with, and wmtire has the *cutest* air-up Halloween travel trailer yard ornament thingies.

gonna steal that thing, I am.

We were in Muskegon Channel. What a State! Three state parks in the same area!
