Everywhere we went camping this summer, this rig went with us and I had a lot of fun cruising the campground with it. Everybody taking pics and posting on their Facebook pages.
It's interesting the comments and questions I get:
Look at the 2 A/C units on the roof!
A triple axle!
There's a magazine on the couch!
The TV is on!
There's a laptop on the desk!
The kitchen has under-counter lighting!
IT OPENS! QUADS IN THE BACK????!!!! Are they R/C too? (no - really?)
I see the guns and fire extinguisher!
Do the slides come out? They do???!!!!
Does the awning roll out? It does???!!!
Do the steps come down? They do???!!!
Is it the same as your real trailer? (me: no - mine is smaller
, really - mine is only 36' long, this one is 42' long)
Does it have a bathroom? (me: yes - but no windows so you can't see inside
Can you back it up? (me: watch this...) That's better than I can do for real!
Is the truck 4x4? (me: yes, and a dually) [where's the weight police?]
Where did you get it? (me: it's handbuilt)
How did you make it? (me: how much time do you have?)
What's it made of? (me: how much time do you have?)
How much did it cost? (me: I never added it all up - don't want to know)
How long did it take? (me: 2 years)
Where can I get one? (me: on sale at WalMart now - just kidding)
Would you build one for me? How much? (me: No, and I would have to charge way too much anyway)
Most people just stand there with their mouths open
I hope to see some FRF members sometime. I know there are some at Hidden Ridge.
