Heater in my 300 BH Heritage Glenn

I just purchased a 300BH and live in NJ. When I brought it home I ran the heater, noticed it wasn't getting very warm inside. It was 25 degrees outside . Could this be the reason for the heater barely working

Big box to heat when it's that cold.....Some use electric heaters to help the furnace out and save propane
You can tie a piece of ribbon to each vent and see air flow

We have three electric heaters and if you remain in NJ for the winter, you will also need some. We try and avoid the cold weather now that I retired. We have a furnace, heating fireplace and the three electric heaters and we try not to use any of them. Good Luck

Thanks. Just curious how well the furnace should perform in those temps. This is my 1st RV

Im in NJ and we camp year round, a lot in Gettysburg, once a month. I found the thermostat to be almost 4 degrees off. We have a 32 ft. class c and it will drive you out with heat. Use an oil filled for aux. heat. Use the main set down at night to keepwater system from freezing. This past Nov. was 16 degrees in the am!

It sounds like your furnace is not working properly. We have used ours when it was 18 degrees and it had no problem keeping the trailer warm.

We have a 2017 Rockwood 2618VS and it has furnace problems and is going back to the shop this Monday. Ours is short cycling. The fan is on all the time, the burner is on for approximately 2.5 minutes and then turns off for 1.5 minutes. We believe it is running against the high temperature limit switch due to some air flow restriction. The Suburban service team was very helpful and I hope my local service department is going to be more serious about solving the problem this time.
