Read up on the GiraffeG4, not much help unless you are under the thing already. AND it doesn't do trees, so pretty useless really and expensive.

That's pretty cool unit. Funny thing is Ive had a diesel pusher for many years and never gave it much thought. Until buying this 5th wheel

I hate to say but it wasn’t painful for me. That railroad overpass is well marked and flashing lights and people still hit it, you can’t fix stupid

Most bridge clearance signs allow room for snow pack on the road. But, it's not guaranteed. So, I prefer to not take the gamble.
I have seen places with a swinging bar hung over the road with a sign on it that says "if you hit this sign, you will hit that bridge". And "Actual Clearance".
