I used those same words when I was teaching small boat sailing. For some unknown reason, "No, the other port!" resulted in too many people swimming.

Its easy, just remember port and left both have 4 letters. They go right with the other four letter words lol

This past summer we were at a thousand trails park in PA we rode with the ranger and picked out our spot. Just as we were approaching the spot we saw another Berkshire pulling out. It was a one way path I usually lead him in and then had to go around again. The couple next to us I saw walked up. To offer help or see a show, not sure which. By the time I’d redone the loop he was already backed in. Just needed a slight adjustment. They were amazed at how well he got in on his own. We also have a Berkshire

My wife is dyslexic, so you can just imagine how that works with left and right!

In most cases, unless it's a particularly hard site with weird angles, I just have her stand behind where I can see her and remain quiet unless I'm about to get close too something since left and right don't work well for her. I'll get out after starting the back in, survey for obstacles, and tell her where I want either my rear wheel or bumper to stop and she'll just say back, back, back, stop while keeping an eye on any predetermined tree limbs or whatever.

I would guess the park owners are simply trying to protect their investment and at the same time provide some direction to those that need it.

If you are confidant you need no help, simply get out of the vehicle explaining to whomever, you and your DW have a system and let them know they are more than happy to watch over their investment but please let the two of you do your thing.

If the issue is more of someone watching over your shoulder... get over that because everyone 10 campers up and everyone 10 campers down on both sides of the road are watching, whether you see them or not.
What 5picker said. And those who aren't watching are listening. Lots of backing up and pulling forward means I look up to see if I can help. I have helped about half the trips we've been on. It's a fact that once you can blind side parallel park a tractor-trailer, calmly, most other situations get easier.

The OP makes a good case for the driver and campground employee (or any helper) to talk a minute to agree on what's needed, or how much help is needed. The only time I'm escorted is in 2 KOAs. I've wondered if it's a courtesy or perhaps an insurance requirement. I see plenty of rigs arriving after dark that must appreciate it.
All I want from a helper, including my DW, is to stop me from hitting anything. I don't want advice or directions, just eyes on. It is good to be told the slide will or won't clear a tree, or hookups wouldn't quite reach. Many times a helper has indicated "come on back" while I'm parking my 5th wheel, but I know I have to pull up and get another angle or make some correction.
2 way radios are great!

Especially if you love that 1/2-second lag time after pressing the 'talk' button that usually makes you miss the direction that was given to you.

Its parallel parking on the right side.
To be honest, a 45 foot trailer reacts slower and more predictably than many travel trailers. The fifth wheel connection also helps.
