Piggy backing on this thread!

We didn't use one with our B+ but I think it's a wise investment and will use one with the new MH.

I've looked at Progressive Industries SSP30 Smart Surge which is about $100 on Amazon:

Am I right in thinking it plugs into the pedastal and the power cord into it? What's that little pigtail thingy?

Will it do the job?

herk7769, from your recent posts I know you have been doing quite a bit of dry camping however I wanted to ask you how is your Frank's Voltage Booster (Voltage Booster) working out? I already have a surge suppressor however I'm still interested in what a device like this offers. Thanks

Karen that is how they are used. With all the high value electronics in the new campers; they went from expensive "eye candy" to mandatory options.

Got it for Christmas and to tell you the truth I have only needed it once so far on this trip. We have stayed at 9 different campgrounds to date on this junket. Only two of them were commercial campgrounds with full hookups; one a KOA (Clewiston) and one a "Good Sam" resort outside Miami (no names). The rest were military bases 2 were dry camping (about a month now) on the generator and 5 had full hookups.

The only one we needed (and I do mean needed) the Franks was at the Miami resort where the AC to the camper was 104 volts. The boost went on perfectly and at 120 VAC our AC did not miss a beat.
