Hi everyone. New to the forum. Wife and I are thinking about the Heritage Glen 286RLT 5W. I am really torn though . The dry hitch weight if 2000#, which is 360lbs more than the 700lbs heavier and 5 foot longer 316RETS. I like the 286RLT, but the hitch weight is getting me out of my payload range for my truck.
Does anyone own the 2013 Heritage Glen 286RLT? What do you think about it?

That 286RLT really is hitch heavy considering the dry weight of the fifth wheel. I'm guessing you have a 3/4 ton truck so you probably will be pushing the limit on the payload. You might consider adding airbags to the suspension if you buy the 286RLT.

Yes Bob, I have 2012 F250 Diesel. Yellow max payload sticker on the door of the truck is 1990lbs. So the 2000 dry hitch + passengers (wifey and doggie) and gear is over the max limit per Ford specs. Looks like I should be looking at the 246RLBS with 1035 hitch weight.
