high vent

I found a tool on E-BAY that will operate high vent knobs and cranks that I can't reach. I searched "rv vent opener" and found it. Has anyone tried it?

Welcome to the forum.

I am in the process of making one. I took the selector knob off and found a piece of thin PVC that just fit over it. Then I heated it with a torch to soften it, and used a tool to form the softened sides of the PVC around the knob contours for a tight fit.

Next I need to add a larger piece of PVC to the other end, with cutouts to fit the 'raise and lower' knob.

Maybe I should paint it and put it on eBay

Thanks for the input, but that's good for one or two knobs, but I have one vent with up/down, fan on/off and a fan speed knobs and another vent with a crank. Seems easier to just have one tool to work them all.

I had the kit with vent knobs and the tool. The problems I had is the knobs get brittle and break every couple of years.

Ford, we use the same tool. The one in the bath room has switches on the wall. One to open and close the vent. The other to turn the fan on and off.

I am/ have been toying with the idea of putting one in the bedroom for the white noise and extra air movement.
