5th wheel...TT...which hitch do you have?

We don't even know what you are using to tow with!

Chances are you can use it your with the new RV, but we really can't give you an answer as you'll need to have it all adjusted for your specific setup.

Just take it all with you and let them (dealership) adjust it all while you are doing your very extensive and in depth PDI.

And if you need more hitch...get them to throw it into the deal somehow!

Can't help you with the hitch height, but I saw something interesting this morning. You might want to consider a B&W adjustable hitch. Has multiple heights and up to 3 ball sizes. Tow and Stow is also very handy-- keeps you from banging your knee on the ball. I have plenty of experience with that problem.
Good luck with your new RV!

Hitch Height

We have a 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 4X4 quad pickup. We are pulling a HiLo right now and have a weight distribution hitch.

What is the brand name of the toy hauler you are thinking about?

Model number tells us nothing without the brand name.

I would plan on adjusting the hitch at the dealership if possible. Ball heights are probably different and hitch head may need to be reshimmed to her correct angle as I suspect the new unit probably has a much greater tongue weight than the Hi-lo. If you have a hitch that uses trunion bars for w/d you will need to insure that you have bars for the tongue weight of the new unit. Good Luck

I hope you have enough truck for the new camper plus toys. I would check the numbers very carefully. Dealers won't be doing that for you.

Toy hauler with a 1500 truck...

Not a good combination, unless the toys are 'Big Wheels'.

I would agree with TNVJONES. Not sure what hitch you are using, but check torque specs and either take a torque wrench with you, or call dealer and verify you can 'borrow' their tools to setup your hitch for the new trailer. My E2 hitch requires 250 ft/lbs to adjust height (or angle), so I carry a 250 torque wrench.
Good luck and have fun with the new trailer.
