Home with our 2014 Salem 32BHDS
Left out last week headed from Arkansas to Ohio to pick up our new trailer. Even with three kids in a Crew Cab truck for 12 hours all went well.
On Saturday went to pick up our new Salem. Lots of excitement in the air. That was for sure. Did our PDI and only thing that was noticeable was the lack of fit and finish. Very sloppy with the sealant. Hooked up and pulled around front to finish paperwork. Guess what? Bank is closed. ...BOO!
Had to turn around park my new camper and wait till Monday...What a let down.
Had campsites reserved for the ride home and had to make calls to change them. All sites very accommodating with the short notices.
Monday arrives and by noon we are headed south! Yeah !!!!
First night of camping and we are in awe on how much time we had. Used to have a popup, lot more time involved in set up, the way we like it.
Just one problem there. The Galley tank would not hold water. Valve would not shut completely. Put on my big boy pants and took valve apart. Had a shaving hung in it. Guess from when they drilled holes in it to install pipes. Put it all back together and works like a charm now.
