Homemade better??

Saw this at the campground this week. Just my rough estimation but I think the tongue weight may be over 15%. And yes the upper portion extends beyond the hitch.

You wanna have some fun? Walk over there and say, "This is SO NEAT! Can I have the VIP tour?"

You'll have a friend for life. A weird friend, but a friend for life.

Looks like a small trailer with a shed on it and the guy thought he would try to make it look like a fifth wheel

I love to see what comes out of a creative mind. Now neither one of these is anything I'd invest in but man, whatever works, works. Would love to see the inside of the first one and go to a party at the second one!

They might make their own whiskey, too.

You say that like it is a bad thing!

I like whiskey but would never be caught sleeping in either of them RV (term used loosely) units.

My guess is its some sort of toy hauler. I've learned never to make fun of anyone's stuff. Because somewhere out there is a snob that would look down their nose in disgust at mine.

Yup...

The neighbor of a friend of mine has almost the exact same setup... Small pop-up set sideways at the front of a flat-deck trailer.

He uses it to haul his race-car when they'll be staying at the track. Seems to work well for him!

Ah yes, I remember the days when fuel injection, dual exhaust, cold air induction, wide tire tract, positraction rear ends, etc, etc., were only found on hot rods at races. Now, you would be hard pressed to find a car built without all of these "improvements". They all started with someone with a vision and a group laughing and criticizing them. Young folks don't remember those days and it all seems normal now.
If you get a choice of attending two parties, one being Trump and the other Red Neck, go with the later or you may end up sitting next to Martha Stewart rather than Jeff Foxworthy or Jimmy Buffet. Champagne or low country boil?

The first pic may be a work in progress.

Man I would take that tour in a heartbeat! You get some of the best ideas looking at somebody elses DIY projects. My brother in law is working on a 2 man wood strip pop up he can tow behind his car for impromptu fishing trips. He is still working on the canvas. He is building in his own options like a beer / soda fridge, tackle storage, hot plate and cassette toilet and leaving out what he doesn't need. Right now he is using cheap tarps and pipe till he gets the measurements and structure right so yeah it looks redneck but once he has it sorted and spends the $$$ on the canvas and fabricates the permanent supports it should be awesome.

Well awesome for a fisherman and his son but NOT for the DW. My sister wouldn't be caught dead without her AC, plumbing and TV!
