hot water heater

Does anyone know how to adjust the temperature on the hot water heater? My bro in-law has a 2013 Wildwood. He says his water is only warm. Any suggestions? Thanks

Get him to check to make sure his winterizing by-pass valve on the water heater is closed......

The water in the tank might be very hot...but if the winterizing valves are wrong it will be mixed with cold water == warm. He can open the over-pressure valve on the water heater to see if the water is really hot (or warm) inside it. If its hot...check the winterizing valves.

Run it on electric and gas

If not on the wh on the outside door there should be a small dial to turn to make the water colder or hotter ?

I will have him double check for a switch. I think he looked but his first trailer.

It will be a valve not a switch

The other issue could be scale build up in the hot water tank
Have him pull the anode rod and make sure the rod is good - (it may need replacing) and the tank doesn't have any build up.
Make sure the electric is off and the water is off before he pulls the anode or he could have a potential mess
I always release the pressure with the pressure valve before pulling the anode

Also have him check to see if the two black buttons are popped - I have a suburban water heater and if it gets too hot it pops the buttons and they have to be reset - usually happens when ran on gas and electric

Ok
didnt know it was new - then have him check the two black buttons for reset or like others have stated the bypass valve is on

You could ask him if he turned the hot water heater on electric before the tank had water in it - may have burnt the heating element - just throwing that out there if the other isn't the fix

I had trouble with this last weekend. Turns out the hot and cold for my outside shower were on and the showerhead was closed. It was mixing hot and cold through that fixture providing me with lukewarm at best. I've never used electric, only propane and it's always good and hot.
