We have run across a wide variety of dealers over the years. Some keep everything locked down and you are only allowed to look at a limited number with the salesman hanging over you. Others keep some of the more expensive units locked down, and yet others leave everything open all the time. A couple more would leave everything unlocked on Saturdays because that was when the most people came in, but would keep them locked up during the week. I guess it varies by dealer and location. I know around here you wouldn't want to leave them unlocked and out of sight for too long. Everything in them would walk.

We went to our local RV show, where we too found that the 5th wheels at the show were nowhere near as nice as our 2012 Wildcat 313RE...

We did see three motorhomes that we really liked -- amazing quality and workmanship. Turns out all three were by the same manufacturer.

If we ever win the lottery, we'll definitely be taking a look at their current offerings! But for the time being, we'll stick with our thoroughly shaken-out fiver. It suits our needs perfectly.

PS - loved the story about liking the LED under-counter lights in the $700K rig, and saving $699,960 by adding LED lights to your own rig...
