How did this ever get out of the factory

I don't think this is a FR product but this struck me as odd. Would anyone ever consider building your own camper? (I'm not connected to this, just something that I saw)

We have on our lot (2) 2014 Holiday Rambler 36' Unfinished 5th wheels. Both are at different stages of production, both have the power converters, most wiring, bath fixtures, cabinets(minus doors or drawers), flooring, and plumbing. They do not have slide outs(the hydraulic components are there if you choose to build one, plenty spacious if not), but they have been weather wrapped to protect from water damage. The more complete one we are asking $**** and the other is $****. These would be the perfect start of your own little tiny home, hunting shack, concessions unit or......?

EDITED by Site Team to remove dealer link and address, since this would be considered a sales post with that information included.

These are most likely prototype units from the factory that only went as far as what you see.

Holiday Rambler was sold and the new company doesn't make towables. Guessing these were in process at the time and they decided to sell as-is rather than finish them.

Looks like they still have a bunch of work yet to do on them. Depending on asking price, it might be a helluva deal.

Anything above "pay me to haul them away" would be too much.

If I was looking for a project and had either the capability or knew someone that could do the exterior finish work- maybe. It would have to be a heck of a steal, though. You'd probably have to jump through hoops to get it registered, you'd have no warranty on any components, and good luck ever selling it.

There's definitely a niche for the home builder. Look at the folks who have taken various other campers and gutted them. This isn't a whole lot different than that.

For anyone curious enough (like I was), I was able to easily find the ad by entering in the second half of the first sentence in a Google search. I have been known to take on some ridiculous projects before, and I found these very interesting. Luckily for me though, they're too far away for me to I love my Rockwood!
