Yes Bob there are some good supply houses there. Woodcraft is up in north Tucson in the Oracle Valley and there was a good wood supply house, can't remember the name right now, and they had all kinds of wood and about any thickness and length you would want.

Keeping busy is not an issue. Between errands and stuff to do around the house I work at Home Depot part time and at a law Firm part time. So my days are full. These two jobs pay for all our vacations , toys , camping etc. Off to Mexico for 3 weeks every winter. "Keep busy keep living." A recent quote in the Globe and Mail made a lot of sense.
"Just because you wake up in the morning does not mean you are living"

Plan next camping season. Read all the RV stuff I can find. One major trip to sightsee etc. Looking for new places to camp. Shoveling snow. Working on mods, etc. until it gets too cold. Put extended stay adapter on propane tank. Now I can run the furnace, at least until snow piles up on the roof. Don't want the freezing and thawing of snow and ice on the roof. Sometimes hang out in MH and enjoy amateur radio conversations. In the spring, while waiting for snow to melt, I wash and polish the floors, dusting etc.
As a musician, I play most gigs during the winter, and of course all of the rehearsals. Don't forget home maintenance and everyday house chores and projects. Phew, ?I am out of breath.😎😎

I keep busy waiting for soft water by tying flies for fishing and building rc racing boats. Maybe a tropical fishing trip for a break from the long dark winter
My latest project is the 1982 Executone hydroplane it's still got a long way to go.

When it gets into the teens where we live, we will occasionally de-winterize and head a 100 miles south to where it is 40 degrees. Makes for a quick weekend getaway. Just takes 20 minutes to re-winterize and put the TT back in storage.

Whhewwww. For a minute I thought a human might ride in that...

Anything over about 60MPH in a boat is toooo fast.

Not for a former drag boat racer. No such thing as to fast

How do you non full timers pass the winter?

Badge2283. We just purchased our Lacrosse which we have not even picked up yet. Is summer hard to find campgrounds? We are beach people n hoping to do weekend beaches in Fla west coast. I thought Fla was busy with the snowbirds mostly in winter months?. What do you suggest.
