If you are on I65/75, southbound, and a dually blasts past you towing anything, take a look; in most cases that is a RV transporter. Since they get paid by the delivery, time is money...regardless of any safety factors involved

That is true, a lot of the ST tires on late model 2015 and 2016 RV are "L" 75 mph rated tires with the same specs of the 65 mph tires from the year before. The question that I haven't been able to get answered is the new ST tires with the 75 mph rating are they built any different than the ones rated for 65 mph or have the just put "L" rating on the tire.

At a recent RV show I check several of the large 5th wheel and most of 2016s had "L" rated ST tires. The really big ones had Goodyear "G" tires.

That said, if you see my 5er going 75 mph please call the police because it has been stolen. I drive at 63 MPH 99% of the time.

I set my cruise at 67, it's where the X performs best at. And it's where I'm comfortable. Occasionally I'll bump it up to 70 maybe 72 on long boring stretches!

65 if legally acceptable.

I remember one time towing at 65 and this guy passed me at about 75 with his trailer and family in truck. He started to sway as he passed and almost hit me and nearly lost it. Saw him at the next rest stop adding air to the tires, I don't think that was the problem. The visual of the swaying trailer is forever stick in my mind.

60-65 unless the speed limit is lower. If lower, we do the speed limit.

Everyone else can be the masters of their own destiny!
I still set the cruise for 62 MPH, and I get passed often and I still pass others often too. When we lived in So. California it was the same, 62 with the speed limit 55 for trucks and trailers that nobody pays attention to! But that's also when I started that as a good speed to travel without attracting attention!
Nowadays that's just a good overall speed, and our trailer tires are rated for maximum 65 MPH. I too have been blasted by that million dollar class A or 5th wheel passing doing 80, I just guess if they can afford that rig they can afford the wreck when it happens.

Usually between 60 and 65. My sweet spot is 62, just because.
