Towing Speed

I don't feel safe much over 60 but I was working in Indiana when a trucker came in late for his physical and told me that he'd have been on time but he got pulled over doing 93 in his loaded semi.

On you tube there is a 2500 Duramax towing a travel trailer at 141.998 MPH. Wonder what tires he had on that trailer. Broke previous record of 139 something MPH

I actually watched a YT video today of a guy towing his 5er just under 90mph...I had to watch it twice to make sure it was mph...crazy and he had his family with him!

I tow at 62 on the interstates....truck wants to downshift a lot below that. Plus...I am in no hurry. I see people flying by me going way over 70 plus pulling a trailer.

Depends on where we're headed. I have GoodYear G614s so I don't mind pushing 70 or so. I've done 75 for stretches but that's in weird traffic situations that I wanted to get clear of.

But setting the cruise in the high 60s is always nice.

but here in CA the speed limit is 55.

That is definitely not enforced. Just drove back from SOCAL, and every semi was doing at least 70...if not faster. I wasn't towing and at times had to hit nearly 80 to get around some of them
