We kinda have an idea where we want to go, but we often get sidetracked. We make no reservations at all just go. In about the 30+ years of camping we have only had to go down the road further about a dozen times!
This past year we got kayaks and we just headed north to find campgrounds on some kinda water. We don't mind any type of campground, because if we don't like it we move on either the next day or sometimes that moment. We start looking about 3 in the afternoon and see what's within an hour of our current location and through a dart.

Trailer is always ready and I hook and say where!

But this year has been weak on the pleasure for us but the camper is ready right now.

I have several times in the past been ready when the boss gets home and said ok where?

And yes Greg you just went #2

I voted 1,3 and 6. I plan the whole trip as to what to do, where we stay, how do we eat blah, blah, blah. then it just becomes here is where we should be going by what my map says. Finally after were all set up and I get some sleep, I wake up and say, where are we and who are these people in my camper?
Actually we plan enough to go where and somewhat the food, but other than that, we roll with it. If I wanted a daily itinerary, I would have stayed at work.

We always discuss where and what were going to do. But I'm the one making reservations. Never showed up without reservations, would hate to be turned away. Never plan food in advance, once there we decide.

New to This - But I like IT

I voted 1,2,3.
Most of the time, my wife pans the food, clothing, and what we are going to do when we get there. I just make sure we get there all in one piece... Oh, and I make sure the truck and trailer are fully equipped, and maintained.

Howdy everyone!

Gotta run for today, but will see you all on Monday. Off on a trip for the weekend, I THINK!

We decide where, when, what to pack and then everything else just happens as it happens. That's how you make the best memories.

My wife is a fanatic, plans every meal, makes list, packs clothing for any possible weather condition, pit stop, reservations, etc, once we get there we just take it as it comes along.

Me, I'd throw a couple packages of hot dogs and buns and beverages in the fridge and head out going what direction the mood took me.
