Disk brakes
Independent Suspension
$4K worth of cabinets
Boondocker converter
washer/dryer
MorRyde sliding tray in basement
One point battery watering system
hose reels
Shower head
Kitchen faucet
toilet seat
new couch
new recliner

and countless 'little things' that are not technically part of trailer. TPMS, PI EMS, ViAir compressor, etc.

Probably 25%, guessing............

And Cedar Creek has spent maybe close to 50% on repairs.

.

Have owned my TT since October 2017 and so far have spent 40 to 50 hours doing upgrades or correcting bad workmanship or bad design. It will continue in the spring of 2019.

BTW, happy New Year !

Upgrades

Over the first year or two, what percentage of your RV's purchase price did you spend on all these upgrades/gadgets/accessories?

I got to thinking about what I've added to my collection of items I deemed "essential" and found I added another 7-8% to my original purchase price.

Big item was generator followed by solar but then it was a battery monitor, water pressure regulator/gauge, generator platform for rear bumper, and on and so forth.

Any others with interesting stories about how much they added (as a percentage of purchase price)?
2019 Forrester 3011DS -
2) 100 watt photovoltaic panels and MorningStar controller $390.00
Ceiling fan over the bed $180.00
3) window awnings $845.00

We dry camp most of the time, so these upgrades really make for a much more comfortable experience.

Thank You;

I can't even imagine what I've spent, but it has been worth it. Between repairs and upgrades I have 81 line items in the logbook. Most important upgrades:

SeeLevel tank monitors
Cabinet roll outs
Second AC in bedroom
Reinforced rear bumper, add 2" receiver (pull tandem where legal)
1 1/2 inch foam insulation under floor and corrugated fiber glass bottom
Larger TV
TV in bedroom
RV temperpedic mattress
EPDM roof coating
LED light bulbs all around

These are some of the upgrades, the rest were just projects on my list.

As stated above, you don't buy an RV, you buy a project.

Safe travels !!!!

My wife must NEVER know this!

COST OF TRAILER: $17,624
COST OF STUFF FOR IT: $4,737:

I started buying stuff in March of last year, for my RV which we had not even ordered. Didn't order RV until September. Finally got it in November. Never even took it out yet. I thought, OK, maybe I've spent about 2k on stuff. WRONG!!!! So, in no particular order, I've accumulated the following:

Viaair compressor
fridge fan
black tank flush hose
key rack/key holder
blocks for under leveling jacks (I have wood, but wanted additional lightweight ones)
heavy duty 25 amp CTEK smart charger
Indoor outdoor thermometer/hygrometer
roll up over the sink dish drainer
desiccant dehumidifiers
stinky slinky and sidewinder rack
RV cover/wheel covers
battery box
battery strap
misc. battery supplies
tension rods
over cabinet door garbage bag holder
collapsible dish drainer
water tank filler
brass elbow for water connection
in-line water filters
water bandit
propane fire pit and carry case
portable EMS
Renogy solar suitcase with extra cords and SAE adaptor for wall plug
water pressure regulator
Anderson leveling wedge blocks
drinking water hose
(2) Champion 2k watt inverter generators
hour meters for generators
storage covers for generators
gen tent adaptor kit for generators
Coleman Gemini (combines 2 1lb tanks for high pressure/volume appliances)
RV mat
Tabletop propane grill
WDH and hitch ball
30 pint electric dehumidifier
2 golf cart batteries
upgraded outdoor speaker
canopy lights/hangers/bulbs/dimmer cord
melamine dish set
stinky slinky flush cap
flag pole mount for pickup hitch
flag pole w/US flag
USMC flag
flag pole light
heat strip option for Mach 8 plus A/C unit
TPMS
over the door towel hanging hooks

I did not include here and there purchases from Wally World and BJ's like carpet runners, welcome mat, plastic storage tubs, collapsible bowl set, etc. I didn't feel like listing the prices for each item, but available on request!

How much have you spent to upgrade your new RV?

We bought this flag set in Hershey hubby needs to change it to hold 2 flags he wants to display his marine flag also. He had a flag pole on the back ladder I wanted to see old glory out the front one the co is called Go Stik. It can also attach to the side any smooth surface. Oh she also got a new toad an 18 jk Sahara and all that needed to tow and cover the front of that pretty Jeep

Marine is capitalized when referring to United States Marines, Omahagirl. Will let it slide this time. And I won't tell your hubby, lol. That's a cool mount, I see you have a light for the pole, very good!
