How much more of this before??

This picture was taken recently at a local Walmart Parking Lot.. there were two of them still set up at 11:30 a.m. I didn't recognize them as RV's!! Wonder how much more of this Walmart will put up with before RV's are no longer welcome overnight?

That is scary! A car could plow into the tent and kill everyone.
At least park your car in front of the tent for protection.
I’ve never seen anything like this but I’ve seen awnings out and lounge chairs and grills.
I’m just happy to have a quiet night and get rolling early in the am.

I once saw a tent set up in the grass area in a rest plaza in Md. Also a popup in a Walmart lot. Was not sure about the tent in the plaza if that was permitted.

Now there's an idea. Wonder if I still have time before the lot is full.

Most of the RV's I seen at our Wally's are courteous, they clean up, out early. Never had problems that I've heard of.

Ever stop to think that maybe they got permission? (which is what you're supposed to do anyway.)

I don’t drive at night, miss to much stuff. I have did that before and it’s just no fun. By the time you get to your destination you are wore out. Then you have to turn around and do the same thing going home. I’m normally in a campground by 3pm, maybe 4pm at the latest

Regardless of permission from Walmart, camping on public and private property is illegal in the city of Sacramento. Other cities probably have similar ordinances.

12.52.030 Unlawful camping.
It is unlawful and a public nuisance for any person to camp, occupy camp facilities, or use camp paraphernalia in the following areas:
A. Any public property; or
B. Any private property.
1. It is not intended by this section to prohibit overnight camping on private residential property by friends or family of the property owner, so long as the owner consents and the overnight camping is limited to not more than one consecutive night.
2. Nothing in this chapter is intended to prohibit or make unlawful, activities of an owner of private property or other lawful user of private property that are normally associated with and incidental to the lawful and authorized use of private property for residential or other purposes; and provided further, nothing is intended to prohibit or make unlawful, activities of a property owner or other lawful user if such activities are expressly authorized by the Planning and Development Code or other laws, ordinances and regulations.
3. The city manager may, as provided in Section 12.52.050 of this chapter, issue a temporary permit to allow camping on public or private property in connection with a special event.

A violation of this section is a misdemeanor. In addition to the remedies set forth in Penal Code Section 370, the city attorney may institute civil actions to abate a public nuisance under this chapter. (Ord. 2013-0021 § 34; prior code § 44.03.007)
