How to remove window valance

I need to replace a Venetian blind that was destroyed by one of my dogs trying to see what was going on outside. The problem is that I can find no screws or staples holding the valance on, though it seems to be very solidly attached to the wall. Would anyone who has dealt with demounting a valance please share how to get the darn thing off so I can get to the blind to replace it? Thanks.

You got my curiosity going with this one so I stepped out and took
a frosty look at mine.....
I don't have venetian blinds but I do have valances with sides.
The lower corner of the side is attached to the wall with a simple L
bracket that is screwed to the wall and the side.

On top it get's a little trickier. On my valance that is right under
a cabinet-- I had to close the accordian shade-- pull it all the
way down. Then using a flash light and my hand I was able to
pull out slightly on the valance so I was finally able to spot a couple
of brown screws that go straight up thru the top of the valance
into the bottom of the cabinet.

On the window that is not under a cabinet, the valance is mounted
with easy to see L brackets

I bet you have a couple screws pointed UP that are nearly buried
in the fabric of the inside under side of your valances.
You just have to look really closely to see them.
If they drove the screws in too tight it's possible they pulled thru
the fabric and you will be looking for a slight tear in the fabric with
a screw head hiding behind the tear.
They ARE there, you just have to look/feel until you find them!

I took a picture of my finger pointing to the screw head but it's
really hard to see. If you look again and fail to find it, I can
post the photo-- such as it it......

If the valances are under the cabinets then there are screws that run up into the bottom of the under side of the valances and into the bottom of the cabinets. The screws have a brass looking head. This is how mine are mounted.

It may look like a Phillips head screw, but it is a #3 square head bit.

One thing I forgot to tell you, you have to remove the blinds to see the screws.....Sorry.
