How TTs are measured?????

I have a Palomino G210 which is nominally a 21ft trailer. But the box measured 19 ft 3 in outside. So where is the 21 ft measured from?????

I've often wondered the same. Our Surveyor 235 is 25 ft ball to bumper. But is the box 23.5 ft? Never measured that. . . .

Trailers are measured from the hitch coupler to the farthest point at the rear. The model number usually relates to either the cabin length or the total trailer length. So, going by the model number, there's no way to tell the actual length other than measuring it yourself.

Mike is correct.
Our previous trailer was a T189 Shadow Cruiser.
The box measured slightly less than 19 feet. (18.9?)
My current trailer is a 2008 Rockwood 2502 Ultra Lite and it
measures about 25 feet from ball to bumper.

When you're talking trailer model numbers better bring your
tape measure!

This was explained to me by a dealer at a show. The lengths given are ball to spare or bumper. The reason for this is that people were buying a 30' trailer because their bylaws allowed for that length, but found the actual length (including tongue) was over their allowance. So the lengths are always given for the whole unit. The model numbers don't necessarily represent the length. For example, mine is a Model 27 vee nose that is 31 feet 1 inch long nose to bumper. As they are saying, tape measures are the only true test.

Depends on the manufacture. I have an 8314ss this is the "floor plan" but the size is 33'.5 ft and from what I have been told as far as Forest River Rock Woods they are measured from bumper to coupler for overall length.

My Surveyor 263 is 29'10" total coupler to spare tire. The longest part of the box is 24'8". The coupler to the back of the box is 28'6". If you forget about the tongue measurement, then the most foward part of the box to the very back of the spare tire is 26".........pretty selective measuring to get that figure.
