Hurry up and get here!!

It'll be 8 weeks this coming Monday that we ordered a Surveyor 285IKDS and I'm beginning to get antsy. I'll be getting our trade-in out of storage in a week and I'd like to get at least an idea when the new one will be here. I've tried twice to get the dealer to give me an update on its status to no avail. Sooo ready to load it up and go!!!

Last fall I was 5 weeks and took 12 for my Heritage Glen. The dealer kept calling and asking with very little info. It sat completed waiting to be shipped for 3 weeks before the transporter brought it the 4 hour drive from factory.

In june of 2012 i ordered a 5er and it took about 7-8 weeks to get it in and dealer sent a driver to pick it up as soon as it rolled off the line.
Feb of 2014 ordered another one ......it took 15-16 weeks and factory sent a driver right after final inspection after being built. Supposedly our order was lost or something, who knows?
Good luck!
Its always exciting getting a new camper!

I was told when I ordered it that Surveyors were just starting production and that I got in at the right time. Apparently they share a production facility with the I-Pod. Not having an update when I've checked twice is a little frustrating.

We ordered ours 5 weeks ago and I reached out to the dealer last week. His last response was "I'll let you know when I see it on the lot." I was hoping for a closer pulse on it coming off the line but being in sales I'm not surprised since I'm sure he's on to the next "sell". I was hoping it would be ready this week since it's my kids spring break and we will be driving to MI to pick it up. Oh well, I've enjoyed my week off...

The day the dealers financing goes through, they know the serial number and scheduled build date. This time of year the transport companies are super busy and that could delay delivery for weeks. Some dealers hire their own drivers to eliminate this delay. But don't let the dealer tell you that he doesn't know the build date
Delivery date is another story.

Just getting the dealer to return my call would be a victory of sorts. He says " Let me get back to you" and then doesn't. I wish I knew of a better way to find out. Any ideas?

Been some years since I ordered a unit from the factory. The story I got from the dealership owner was that if the factory makes models "A" thru "F", they make all the "A's" that are on order, for which they have pre-ordered parts, at the same time, then all be "B's" and so forth. That's so they can stage all the unique parts to a single model, while buying and receiving the parts for the next, and to not have to warehouse the "C" thru "F" items that are not in manufacture. So if you order a "C" while they are building the "A's" and buying parts for the "B", you'll likely have yours in 6 to 8 weeks. On the other hand, if you order an "A" while they are building the "A's", it's unlikely you'll see yours before 12 to 16 weeks. Also, if you order a "E", and there's no one else who wants an "E" they may skip over the "E" for more pressing orders. I got mine in about 6 weeks, whereas he had told me to expect about 10. His explanation was that we hit the production run on my model at the best possible time. It's a hit or miss proposition and someone's past experience with a particular model/manufacturer is probably not applicable positive or negative.

I want to know

As soon as the dealer sends {transfers) funds ($) to the manufacturer they get information on build and delivery dates. I would guess no transfer ($), no dates. I ordered a 5r 2 weeks ago, the dealer confirmed the manufacture's receipt of transfer ($ blanked out) and build numbers in black and white listing standards and my options to me. I signed off, dealer and I know it will be in the second or third week of April. Love doing business this way.

I ordered a Heritage Glen Dec 18 and it arrived at the dealer a week last Monday. I picked it up this Wednesday and we are out at Campark Niagara in Niagara Falls breaking it in and checking it all over. Quite happy, very few bugs to have worked by the dealer.

Will be ordering a new mattress for the master bed room, the one that came with is as hard a brick

Waiting.....

We are in the same boat. We went to the dealer to pick one off the lot but it happened to be sold they told use, there was one on order, we could put our name on it. We did they told us it would be in, in April. Have called twice to get the date of delivery, NO one will call back. Come on April is a big month

I usually try to camp at Branches of Niagara on Grand Island, NY. We're trying to put together a route to see the light houses around Lake Ontario. Let us know about your check out went and Camppark Niagara in NF (ONT, I think).

If I had a serial number I could POSSIBLY find out as I know the dispatch people fairly well, but without a s/n I couldn't even try.

I ordered my 2016 Hemisphere 272RLIS on Mar 9 2015 and being a special order with a second A/C and specific interior, I picked it up a week after it arrived at the Dealer on 5/5/15. Not bad for a total build.

Was informed the other day that it won't be built until the 3rd week of April and it will be a 2017.
