I-75 shut down in North Tennessee

Just saw an article on the web about I-75 being shut down North of Knoxville. There was a rock slide that will keep it shut down for a couple weeks according to the article. You have to get on 25W at Jellico going southbound and take it to Caryville. Northbound exits a little before Caryville going to Jellico. Not all that bad a road but with a lot of traffic you may as well plan on a couple extra hours. I've taken that road when there was snow on Jellico mountain and I-75 got closed for that. Big trucks have to go East on I-40 from Knoxville and 25E to Corbin, KY. For you snowbirds heading back home you may want to consider going up through Nashville and taking I-65 north.

We're headed south and passed through Nashville just yesterday early afternoon. Traffic was terrible. Travelled 9-10 miles in just over 2 hours. Pick your poison
