I-80 across Nebraska is pretty good. little bit of construction but not bad. pulled our camper across Nebraska when we got it, had no problems at all

we bought our HTT in Chicago and pulled back to NorCal along I80.
great road with really no big issues or bad climbs.
but the stretch from Utah to Reno, seemed to be longer than it really was and the most boring/mind-numbing of any part of that drive.

wear your sunglasses across bonneville salt flats. its about 100 miles of bright white, and you will need them. i agree that salt lake city to reno is absolutely a mind numbing drive.

I-80 is a combination of everything from smooth sailing to rough. Expect headwinds from western Nebraska on across Wyoming. Plan on hitting that Salt Lake to Reno run fresh and rested with some good tunes and the sun at your back, then just let er roll from there.

Just drove the WY section a few weeks ago, road if fine, very few CG along the way and can get windy. Cheyenne Wy usually good prices on gas.

Now is not the time to inquire for a spring trip. Winter has yet to do its damage. You should ask again closer to your departure date.
