I can't believe we're doing this! Upgrade?

A few weeks back, I posted about moving up from a TT to a 5/er. But this weekend, we did it! We put a order in on a 5'er! We have only been camping for 1 year and also a TT owner for 1 year. But let me tell you, we absolutely love it. We camp every single chance that we get and the entire family loves it!

This weekend, hubby pulled the trigger and ordered a new 5'er. We'll be moving away from Forest River because Open Range had the floorplan that was an absolute 100% match to our needs. So, we are upgrading our tow vehicle and camper all within the next couple of weeks. I am sad that we will be leaving the Forest River community. Quite frankly, this group of people is bar none. So kind, so helpful and just plain awesome! But I'm super excited about what lies ahead. 2 bathrooms for the 5/6 of us is what we need and their 427BHS fits the bill.

We also have a potential buyer on our TT. So, life is good in the camping world!

Just because you are getting another brand doesn't mean you still can hang out here with us

Congrats on the new open range. You can still hang out on the boards even if you own an SOB (some other brand). Many still do that.

Hang around you'll be glad you did.

Definitely stay! I have been an S.O.B. owner for over a year, and cannot find the same level of advice on the other forums I joined.

Sure , stay!
If we ever upgrade to a 5th wheel, we'll probably buy a non-FR product, since they don't make a floor plan that fits us.
But I'll still stay active here.

Congrats and good luck with your new rig. We went from a Cougar 5th wheel to a FR and never looked back. Stay with our group or come back and visit every so often.

Oh man. I sure am glad my DW doesn't read the forums or we'd be on the cusp of the same scenario. Love the Nitro XLR TT, but the garage has ended up being totally unused except for storage (kind of like the garage on the house) for many reasons, so she is looking for a non-TH 5er with a more usable floor plan. I keep putting her off because we've only had the FR for 7 months. If she finds out that other people are doing what she wants to do...Ruh Roh!

Enjoy the new rig!

I always recommend that people new to RVing attend the Escapees RV Boot Camp were they try to teach you to buy your third RV first. You can find Escapees on the internet. Good Luck with your new fiver.
