We try to squeeze every last camping moment out of the year. Unless there is an early freeze, our last trip is camping with friends during Thanksgiving. Last year was on the beach side of Ft. Flagler Washington. Beautiful sunny cool day on Thanksgiving. Deep fried a turkey. Woke up Friday to a unforecasted hard freeze, 40+knot winds. Roads all iced over so didn't want to tow home. Plenty of propane and satellite tv so we just hunkered down. Waited till Sunday and made it home safe & sound. Late November is just a roll of the dice for us but worth it, especially when sharing with lifelong friends. This year, Belfair State Park.
