I have been lucky...knock, knock, knock.

The 1st trip out I tried to get my 28.5" Surveyor into several spots where I used to camp with my collapsible 20' Trailmanor. I got into some brush and tree limbs, and ran over a stump. I hit a trash can backing into a site....I knew I was close. I have backed into a tree with my ladder, but lucky barely touched it before I got out and looked because I knew something wasn't just right. So far, a few tiny souvenirs, and hope it stays that way.

Was setting up the hitch yesterday and after dinner went for a ride around he block to settle the cams for the anti-sway and getting back into our driveway I trimmed a pine tree and missed a fence post by 1 inch - I was watching the trees (er, listening to the trees) run down the top 1/2 and roof of the TT. A cursory look last night shows all to be well.

Got my first damage out of the way too

I did mine this Wednesday. Only had the trailer 2 months...Had it parked in the side yard, which is of the alley. Went to take it back to the storage lot, got down to the end of the alley, and when I made the turn, the right rear corner of the trailer swung out and hit a utility pole. right on the corner of the trailer, where the siding from the side, and from the rear meet. Bent up the gutter too, and dented some siding. I had to run out and caulk it up last night before the storm hit. I don't think it would have leaked, but now I KNOW it didn't. Oh, and there is an extra dent/scratch from a cable clamp they left on the side of the pole.

With our last trailer, I clipped the awning reel at the back when a garage at an A&W jumped too close. I didn't realize it til I tried to use it at the campground. Went past the same A&W the next season and the garage was gone. I guess it jumped in front of one too many things... So far, just a few tree scratches on our new one.

I broke out my tail light backing my tt into our storage unit. I have learned my lesson. Dont let your 6 year old guide you into storage when you only have 3 inches on each side. oh well.
