I think you will like this one!

No, not all of us who went camping this weekend
dropped off the face of the earth. We made it
back home yesterday around 11am.
Now for the funny part. We went without hot or even
warm water all weekend. Boiled water on the stove
to pour in sink for dishes. Boiled more for tub baths
for the girls. Luckly did not run out of propane.

We arrived on Saturday afternoon, mentioned to
hubby on Sunday that we have a hot water heater,
shouldn't we have hot water??? He read the manuals,
could not find anything. This went on the entire weekend.

Took her back to dealer for storage Tuesday morning.
Dealer R E F R E S H E D our
memory of the little switch under the cover on the outside of
the TT that they had showed us during the PDI.

THE ONE THAT I TRIED TO TELL HUBBY ON SATURDAY
THAT "MAYBE THEIR IS A LEVER OR SOMETHING YOU
HAVE TO TURN ON BEHIND THE ACCESS PANEL
FROM THE OUTSIDE"

Chalk up one for STUPIDITY !

Nina

P.S. I can not wait to hear the comments you have for
me from this one!!!!!!!!!!

Yup........... Lesson learned.

Is your heater electric only or gas and electric? Most are both, will operate off of either or both at the same time.

We were ALL new at one point!!

It's a learning curve from a tent. That's why she joined the forum and that's why we are here, to assist in the learning curve.

Frig Greg, your wife is making me hungry. That feels sooo wrong saying that.

Just teasing you Nina; I could (but won't) reveal some equally newbie maneuvers that I .... I mean a FRIEND of MINE... pulled early on. However, you've already learned the first and all-important rule of camping... it's generally hubby's fault.

Nina,

Welshman is right... it is generally the hubby's fault.
At least I know I feel that way whenever something goes not quite right.

Aww come on guys where we really ever that new. It's funny but when I tell a story everything wrong was the wife's problem. When she tells the story everything that has ever happened wrong in the universe is my fault.
Here's a little story over the weekend Nina. Wife wanted the oven lit so I sat on the floor put my hand on the the dial and tried to light the pilot light for 5 min. It didn't light so she says are you out of gas? No says I and lifted the stove cover to light a burner and prove it. Well when I struck the spark and the whole stove top lit up I new we had gas. She's screaming we're on fire and I' assuring her I'm a trained firefighter and everything is under control as a wiped away the curly smoking hairs on my arm and hand. Moral . Make sure you use the valve to the oven and not a top burner when lighting and if you have them wear your glasses. We went and bought an electric toaster oven.

Yeah, but if they would have put the switch in a more visible spot, you probably would have found it easier........I know I would have.......

Your hubby is not the only one who missed that one.

LOL.

Greg,

Are you trying to insult my intelegence?

Sure his was more funny than mine,

But you don't have to rub it in.

(But wait, I forgot how to spell intelegence. Is that right?)
