I Want to Watch TV

Got the trailer parked way out in the backyard, far from any electricity. Have plenty of power in the batteries (2-6v) Enjoy the lights, slide power, and heat, but I want to watch TV. Can I plug an inexpensive convertor into the power outlet (like a cigarette lighter plug) in the trailer and watch TV. Also, can I run a very long series of cords out to the RV just to top off the batters from time to time? I know not to try and run a anything in the trailer off of a long cord. Trailer is a new 2017 Roo 23WS and the power in the cord is standard house voltage. (I use the adapter on the cord)

Yes you can run a cord out there and top off the batteries and watch TV. TVs don't pull many watts. My 42" flat screen only pulls 75 watts. You'll be OK just don't go crazy on the amp draw from a 250' extension cord. A heavier duty cord the better.

Unless you plan on dry camping or boondocking in the future, I would run the cords out to the trailer and watch the tv with the shore cord plugged into the extension cord.
The tv uses very little power.

I use a cheap little 150 watt one with my 19" tv/dvd combo when boondocking, works great. I plug it into the 12 socket where my antenna switch is. Something like the one in the link below.

I do the same thing while camping at Wally World or the deluxe accommodations of truck stop of choice. Never had a problem. Will also power tyhr direct TV dish.

If you buy a long cord get one that is 12 Guage, not a lighter one like 14 or 16 guage. Also, with that connected, you could run the television on 120 volt and not use the inverter if you wish.
