Yesterday I had to go from my office in Reno to a project we are doing just east of beautiful Lovelock Nevada. It is around a 2 hour drive on Interstate 80 heading east and I was in my daily driver. Just past Lovelock right before my exit I passed a late 80's Ford F-250 pulling a late 90's Wanderer 5er and what really caught my attention was that both the truck and rv were absolutely immaculate like they just came off the showroom. The only blemish was on the driver side rear of the 5er which had a fairly thin 3 foot gash in the aluminum siding.
Anyway I got to my meeting at 10 am then afterwards had lunch in town and left back for Reno around 1. After an hour or so on the road I passed the same truck and 5er heading west and I just had to wonder, how lost were they. I guess it could have been a quick side trip but there is basically nothing out there. I guess I will never know.

Anyone who owns a showpiece like that, would sure want to keep it looking like that. I might imagine that they were taking it someplace to get an estimate on fixing that damage.

That is funny. One time my wife and I were driving to So. Cal. out in the desert on along long straight away in the middle of nowhere and the gps announced prepare to turn left. We just looked at each other and laughed like crazy.
