I am looking for a park in the LA area. Long term type of park where people live in their trailers/campers as opposed to where people camp, although I am interested in hearing about that too.

Don't have any specific recommendations, but if you go to Google Maps, input Los Angeles and then search for "campgrounds" it list a lot of mobile home/rv parks with long term rates. May be something there you could use. Also use RV Park Reviews to get comments on the park/
I've done all that and there is really nothing listed that is really a park. Most are site seeing places. I've been trying to find a place for months and months. Internet in this area for some reason is not helpful at all. The trailer parks don't even seem to be listed. I have had to google earth and try to see clusters of trailers. It's crazy.
