The frame alignment place had to brace the axle brackets as they appeared to be slightly bent. Now that's it's fixed, there is only about 1/4 inch between the frame and the tires. Are the axles too narrow or is the problem an offset issue? Has anyone else had these issues?

With the RV now properly aligned (under the 1 year "Warranty") I would ask (demand) something in writing from Forest River that the 1/4" clearance is sufficient and the tires will not be damaged due to their selection of axle. Did FR stand behind their original axle mounting and pay for the fix?
IMO 1/4" is not enough on a multi-axle trailer as the tires do a lot of bending side to side when you are parking the rig.
