Insurance

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, but here it is.
My auto insurance company has just raised our insurance coverage rate by over 10% this year. We hit a deer over a year ago, and haven't had any other claims for over 30 years. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with Good Sam insurance, both for the auto and RV. We have to pay two deductibles. one on the vehicle and one on the travel trailer, with our current company. I was wondering how Good Sam did with claims, and general dealings with them are.

What ever you do shop several carriers. You would be amazed how different the quotes can be. There are several carriers that cover cars and RVs.

We have had Geico for our vehicles for 28 years. When we purchased our MH last year we added it ti the policy. There is another thread here talking about this, as well. I checked with Geico yesterday asking if the contents and components of our motorhome is covered. She said that we do have complimentary $5,000 coverage for that and aren't charged for it.

Definitely shop around. But usually progressive and Geico win the bids. I've got our Vehicles on Geico, our Class A with progressive, and My 5th wheel and International truck with Allied.

On a side note, I owned and operated a Motorcycle service/repair shop. I dealt with claims from all the major companies, and Geico as well as Progressive settled the fastest. Never once had an issue with them. State Farm on the other hand was the worse, on multiple occasions.
