Invasion of the Geo Pro

I donít know if itís just me or the area I am in, but it sure seems like the Geo Pro is a super-popular travel trailer. I am seeing more and more of them every day ó it seems like it is the travel trailer that everybody is buying right now.

Did Forest River nail it on this RV? Why are they so popular?

I'm guessing the name itself is appealing to Millennials.

But do you agree that they seem to be appearing everywhere lately?

We bought one a year ago. In our case it was the trailer that slept 4 (16BH), fit on a slab next to the driveway and had a full dry bathroom.

In our first year of travels we saw one other model at an RV park. More sightings each season Iím sure.

I am not a millennial nor does the name attract me.

I bought an E-Pro due to all the features within the size and weight, and price.

Catalina's are the popular one in this area. You can't hardly swing a dead cat and not hit a Catalina in the CG's around here

On the other hand, Avengers like we have are rare... have only seen 2 "in the wild" so far.

When we were shopping last September, yes the Geo was the hottest thing since sliced bread, they could not keep them in stock, nor would the move much on price. So we did the bait and switch to a 2109S.

I've been seeing more and more Grand Designs in my area in the past couple of years.

I got the Geo Pro instead of the A-frame pop up because:
1) It was not much heavier than the pop up, and no risk of roof raising failure or leaks. The more moving parts, the more likely something will fail. Also did not get slides for this reason. No set up/breakdown time other than the stabilizers.
2)Height seemed lower than a traditional TT, less wind drag
3)The jaunty look of the off road package appealed to my macho side
4)It offered all the amenities you could need in a TT, right from the factory
5)We had a good salesman. But he doesn't return calls now that the sale is complete.
6)I thought I would be able to tow mine with a mid sized SUV we were about to buy. Glad I got on this forum before I made that foolish mistake.
